MUDRUNNER
Hope all of the dads have a good Father's Day weekend. This weekend looks pretty laid back for us. No sporting events or practices for my kids at all, which is highly unusual. The yard needs mowed, the garage need straightened up, and I have a swing set build that I need to finish up, and an old swing set to tear down & burn. I imagine at some point the grill will be fired up & an ice cold Stag will be cracked open. What's everyone else have planned for the weekend? wtnhunt
Happy Fathers day to all the dad's. No idea yet what I am doing this weekend, nothing planned. Our 6 year old son had a bout with e coli he is finally getting over, he swallowed water in the wave pools at Ky Kingdom last Monday and started coming down with symptoms on Thursday, guessing it was the kids wave pool. Was supposed to rain starting Wednesday and through the weekend. Got my beans planted earlier this week ahead of the forecasted ran. We have had no real rain yet, not been enough to even settle the dust. May try and sit out tomorrow morning a little and bust some crows in our back field where I planted nearly an acre. Ravin R10 man
Happy Fathers Day "DADS"! I know I'm going to get some fishing in at some point, worked till noon today, then had to go sign some FEMA disaster papers for flooding in our township;; then I mowed lawn instead of going fishing; HOWEVER, it's 3 p.m. and a T storm popped up and is rolling thru....so I guess not being in a boat during a T storm is not a bad THING...I just ducked the mower in the shed and am going to Fleet Farm and prob hit a fish fry instead
Muff
Working my weekend of day shift but I took Sunday off to be with family for fathers day plan to go golfing in morning if its not raining then have my mom and dad down for some smoked ribs and chicken in the evening.....if it rains it will be a work around the house day because it needs it so bad with us right in the middle of finishing the basement. and if the flood waters ever start to go down I can start to clean up my shore line and fix some of the erosion that's happened. Rhino
Happy Father's Day to all the Dads. My son and daughter-in-law are coming to my house tomorrow and staying through Sunday afternoon. We plan to play a round of golf and go out to a nice restaurant tomorrow night. Other than that, just visit and watch some of the US Open golf tournament. Ultradog
It's back to reality here. Work, the addition, etc. Got back yesterday from a 9 day vacation to Sisters, OR to see my wife's sis/bil. Went to the rodeo on Saturday. Stopped in Portland on the way back to visit with my cousins there. Went round trip on Amtrak. My 3rd time, wife's first. Got the small sleeper berth. I sure love to travel by train. Good meals included if you get the sleeper. Wake up, breakfast, then a nap. Then play some cribbage in the lounge car or hang out, sight see there. Lunch. Another nap. Then it's cocktail hr, then dinner. Hang in the lounge car again or read. Then its nighty night. St. Paul to Portland. 36 hrs - 2 nights, one day each way. Every one and everything slows down. Fun. Saw a few mulies in Sisters, couple of white tails and an antelope on the way home. Train follows the Milk River for a ways. Thought about David, Bill, Michael, and the gang out there. Starting a remodel job on Monday so the party's over but back to counting down - 147 days till the opener...

RangerClay
This year Fathers Day fell on my son's birthday so it was all about him. I didn't do much. I mowed the lawn and watched a John Wayne movie when I got a moment.
Shaun_300
Have a great trip Ron! That's one thing I want to do in a few years once my daughter gets a little older so she can enjoy and remember it too. In '96 we went down east to PEI and Nova Scotia. Another year we went as far west as Thunder Bay, Ontario. Around 20 hours west of here. In 2008 I went to Saskatchewan for a job interview so I saw Regina and southeast of there to the Manitoba border. Still lots more of the country to see! I'd love to drive out to Banff, Alberta, spend a week in that area then come home through the northern US. It was a pretty good father's day weekend for us. Weather wasn't the greatest but still spent some good quality time with the family.
rbduck
Shaun, someday you just have to do Banff and Jasper. Ron
