Ravin R10 man
Many other wrecks are told about also, The Fitz has a 15 minute video you go in and watch, Captian from Arthur Anderson tells what he went through following the Fitz, and his feelings as to what happened. Ravin R10 man
I went to school with Blain Whilhelm's daughter Beth...we lost a couple local men also. I was in Ashland that eve, and went home along Chequamegon Bay about 11 p.m. the bay is a shallow bay, and the waves were crashing up over U.S. 2 as I approached what is known as the "short Bridge". I stopped and waited to time the waves, and took off on the 100 yard narrow stretch, so I would not be washed into the slough on the other side. I cant imagine what the big lake was like.
