Next Friday is September 1st...Jeez summer really flew by.

PSA- If you haven't signed up for the deer contest, sign ups are in the "announcements and online contest" room. William also has a reminder thread in the "Lounge". The more people we get signed up the better it is. Many of us have enjoyed it for years. Just make sure if you sign up that you can get back here and check-in with your team every week or so during the season.

On to the weekend! Emma has a middle school softball game this afternoon. Played last night and went 2 for 2. So far she is batting .572 in school ball. Tomorrow I plan on mowing and doing some yard work in the morning, and have a house warming party/ shrimp boil/ poker game to go to in the afternoon at one of my hunting buddies new pad. Sunday Emma has softball practice, but other than that it's an afternoon to relax and enjoy this amazing August weather.

Going out for pizza with a cousin & family that show up, in town this eve. Gonna have rain most of the w.e., so I mowed lawn last eve so thats done... prob shoot bow etc.

could poss. go service my machine Sat, get that done engine oil & fuel filters

I'll probably make a day trip Saturday to check my cams here in MS.  I've only gotten 1 mature buck on cams in MS so far and he's considered a cull buck (7 point with now brow tines).  I'll move most of my cams to new spots.  Since it's a little cooler here than it's been, I'll prep a few bowstands too.

Headed back to Mo next Friday to finish our stands there and run the cams again before the season opens on 9/15.

I have to work the weekend of night shifts...started last night with a extra one. try to get some extra coin for my vacation in a week. in the mornings I hope to do a few chores and clean ups around the house. I have to drain our little pool one of these mornings also. If I can find time I will be going out to put the cams back up. hope every one has a good weekend and if you are in Texas please be safe.  CHEERS!

Breakfast with the boys at the Junction at 7:00 tomorrow morning.........................then off to try to find a Dutchman I tried to find last Saturday.  He makes t&g paneling from lumber you supply.  I have about 1200 bd/ft of ash and a couple hundred cherry to be sawn.  Hoping to add a couple more ash to the pile.  Maybe tomorrow afternoon........................ Showing my Dad's old Pontiac to a perspective buyer at 10:00...........................need to mow grass.............................still about 7000 unsheared trees at the farm.........................need to move our big Kubota from the farm to my house ahead of some rock I have coming (50-75 tons) ......................and my 2016 buck mount is done and ready for me to pick up at some point..........................need to move a couple or 3 stands......................  So I have no lack of things to do...........

Not much planned for this weekend. Heading to work in a few minutes. Already starting to winterize boats! Hard to believe seems like we just got them out. It was 42 degrees this morning! Sure feels like fall.

Today; serviced tractors and some equipment this morning.  Bush hogged where I plan on putting in a fall plot of clover and rye grain.  Bush hogged a couple trails.  Mowed the yard. Then got cleaned up and went and visited mom at the therapy/rehab facility she is in.  Need to try to hang a few stands tomorrow if I can.
