Shaun_300
Not up to too much this weekend I don't think, having some friends over for a get together. Monday is my daughter's 2nd birthday and my girlfriend's is on Tuesday. Got my lawn done Monday and I cut it at 2" so I don't think it will need to be cut this weekend with the cooler weather we've been having. Going down to 40 tonight here, don't think it got above 60 degrees today! Was actually kind of cool with the strong north wind. Frost advisories up in the valley they will be in the mid 30s tonight and a chance of hitting the freezing mark or slightly below.
MUDRUNNER
Labor day weekend here in the States, so I'm off work Monday. The weather here has been unbelievable. High of 73 today and supposed to get down to 48 tonight...I'm loving it. It's supposed to warm up Sunday & Monday before another cold front moves in next week. Since it's going to be so nice tomorrow I plan on mowing and trimming some shrubs, and probably get the bow out. I imagine the kids will want to shoot the crossbow some too. Sunday afternoon Emma has softball practice. As of now we don't have any plans for Monday, but I'm sure something will come up.
wtnhunt
Need to survey the aftermath of the storms from the harvey remnants that rolled through. We mostly got rain and winds, don't think we had any trees down on our place from it. Hopefully will dry out enough to get on the tractor, got to play catch up on things around here. Need to torch the area, about an acre, I plan to plant in clover and winter rye, get that ready to til or disc. Might just cut a fire break around it and burn it off once it dries out enough. hammerforged
Took my Henry out and put a few downrange. This is at 100 yards with Federal Fusion 300 grain. Don't have any glass for her yet but am open to suggestions. I have always used Nikon in the past and that is what I have on my CVA 50 but never having a lever gun before am at a loss as to what would be best for her. Shaun_300
The rain has moved in here too from Harvey, only supposed to get 1/2 of an inch though today and maybe a bit more tomorrow. Feel bad for those poor people down in Texas! That is unbelievable. We had our first frost yesterday morning. Woke up and the thermometer said 34 degrees! Looked outside and there was a layer of frost on the roof of our SUV. Haven't looked at my garden yet, hopefully my tomatoes are ok.
