Enrique
I'm on a tight budget, and I would like to know what would be a good beginner compound bow. Just to give a little background to my query, I have been using a Horton crossbow passed down to me from my dad. I have been using it for many years now, but I’m looking to graduate to the compound bow arena, and follow up with the crowd. My uncles, dad, and best friend have been doing it, and keep egging me on to the game. So, I guess, I should try it out. I’ve heard a few things about the Hoyt, Bear and PSE. That’s the variation of what my peers have, but I am open to getting feedback on some more. I’d like to know what your preferences are, and the corresponding prices. I’m not looking for the newest in the market either, I figure some older designs may be enough, and at a lower price. any suggestions? Rhino
Here's my $0.02...for what it's worth. Since you're a beginner, I'd suggest you go to your local bow shop and check out what they have. See what feels best in your hands. That way...if you need more help from them you can go back. There's really not enough difference between the budget type bows you're looking for. Better for you to have easy access to a local bow shop that can help you out with whatever you'll need. I hunt with a Bowtech Invasion and have a Bowtech Guardian as my backup bow. Edited September 11, 2017 by Rhino
Stinger-Hunter
PSE Stinger has a great setup for $399.00. If possible check on Craiglist for used bows. Might not be a great selection before hunting season but around December to February, used bows are being sold all the time. I shot a PSE Nova for years and bagged many a buck including the 10 point in my signature.
