hammerforged
Checking around and picking up all the downed branches from Hurricane Irma yesterday, I discovered that my Pecan tree was pushed over slightly in all the wind, she is not completely uprooted but headed that way. My question is if anyone knows if this tree can be saved/uprighted and made safe or have I lost her completely and does she need to come down. The tree is in the front yard and leaning toward the driveway and the power lines coming into the house.
Ravin R10 man
How big is it and can you show a pic? Got a tree or pole nearby you can run a line or guy wires to and winch it back over time ? I'd be watering it some too, but not over do it. Maybe get some landscape chips around roots and cover with burlap keep it moist as you try to pull it back. hammerforged
Trunk is about 2.5 feet in diameter - roughly 30-35 feet tall and 20-25 foot spread. Not sure on the watering as we had over 8 inches of rain with Hurricane Irma, which coupled with the wind I think led to the current issue. Roots are not exposed at this time but tree has a very pronounced lean to one side.
