9-22 Friday Fall check-in

The first day of fall is here! It's hard to get too excited since it's supposed to be a high of 96 here today, but relief is coming next week with a nice cold front. What are the weekend plans?

Tonight my daughter has a middle school softball game. It's the regional championship, so if they win this one they play for State starting next week. Tomorrow I plan on mowing, and Evan has a flag football game in the afternoon. Sunday afternoon my daughter has softball practice with her travel ball team. Besides that I need to do a few things around the house and maybe get my resume together. It's looking the shop I've worked at for 20 years might be closing up soon, so I need to get my stuff together and see what is out there. Been kind of bummed out about it, but hopefully something promising will come up.

I'll be gathering, organizing, and packing up my bowhunting gear to make the 9.5 hour drive to Missouri.  Went to the grocery to take care of next week's groceries today.  Leaving early Monday morning since it is finally going to be cool enough to sit in a stand in the afternoons next week.

I cranked up forwarder at 3 a.m. to beat a huge T storm that was due by 9..it came thru & shut us down for the day...then went to Ashland and picked up a free upright freezer from a gal kim helped out that went to nursing home. Got more room for venison now... showering and heading to stand, gonna spend first day of fall in my "Happy Place"

Yes Al, big 'ol does are in danger tonight!

I like these check-ins.                             Not much that's exciting going on this weekend. Will do some more trim work in the new bedroom. Am real tired of staining and varnishing.

Later my pal Kenny will stop by and we'll prime some of the sheet metal for our tractors and if it doesn't rain tomorrow get the color on.

We're working on similar Fords. His has a loader, mine could but probably won't. I just want a better bush hogging tractor than I have.  I shot the color on both of the chassis last Sunday.

Pretty sisters.
