It's cooled off quite a bit here finally too. Highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's, which is normal this time of year. It's supposed to warm up again next week, which is a real bummer. Our season opens Sunday, but doubt I'll be able to get out.

On to the weekend check-in.....first and foremost 4 years ago today my little boy Tyson was born. It looks like tonight we are going to Grandmas for chili and birthday cake. When my wife told me she was pregnant I went into full panic mode. "We didn't plan this", "Were to old for this", "What are we going to do", "How are going to afford this" were just a few of my thoughts lol. Now I love the kid so much that I can't imagine what life would have been like with out him. Every time I look at him it puts a smile on my face.

Tomorrow is a busy day also. My daughters middle school softball team won their regional championship last week, so they have their first state championship game in the morning. In the afternoon Evan has a soccer game. Then tomorrow night the wife and I will be celebrating our 17 anniversary....man time flies. We are doing dinner and going on a ghost tour of all things lol. Sunday we're planning on going to church with Grandpa, and my daughters travel team has a game in the afternoon.

Oh man, we've had the same weather here ... 4 days of record high's. And I don't mean sneaking one in, I mean records broken by 6 or 7 degrees. 90's in late Sept. around here is unheard of! I had the AC on 3 days in a row! We don't even normally use it that often during the Summer. And in typical fashion, woke up to scattered frost this morning. Looks fairly typical for the next couple days, 60's/30's ... We're still a week out until archery opener.

Tonight is the first night with no soccer practice (or game) for the kids in quite some time, so we will probably just chill out at home and watch a movie after dinner or something. 2 games tomorrow morning however. We have been under contract on our house, and a house we are buying, for almost 6 weeks now and things are progressing ... so I imagine we will begin the monumental task of packing things up and make at least a couple trips to the dump. I can relate to how you felt MUDRUNNER, we have 4 kids, and all the craziness that comes along with it. I can't even imagine it any other way though! It'll be 15 years for us in the Spring ... time does fly indeed. Congrats to you and yours!

Tomorrow's our archery opener.  My opener is in about 4-5 weeks.....................  This early season stuff is a bit of a waste of good effort, IMO.  Gonna wait for the bigger boys to start getting sloppy about their ways.  May go out before first light just to make sure our local hoodlums remember where the property lines are.....................

Putting up a pole building.  Moved about 90 tons of fill last night.  Have about 50 more to move tomorrow.  Gonna go with my bro in the afternoon to look at a new (to us) tractor for the tree farm.  Looking to change two 2WD machines into one 4WD.........................

In the treestand as we speak. Bow opened today Woohoo! There's a doe and two fawns at 25 yards right now. Beauty of a doe too. Temps in the mid 60s. Rather warm but feels nice compared to the heat wave we had the past couple weeks. It was over 90 quite a few days. That left Thursday. Woke up to 28 degrees this morning. More like October weather for sure!

Got my lawn mowed on Friday do may finish up the trimming tomorrow on my day off. Hoping to get some more time in the tree too.
