MUDRUNNER
Let's here your weekend plans. Tonight we have a Halloween party/ bonfire at one of my daughters team mates place. Should be fun, but it is a little bit of a drive. Of course she waited until 7 o clock last night to decide that she needs a costume. Tomorrow I have some stuff to do around the house and probably shoot the bow a little. Sunday I finally get to get in the woods for a morning hunt! I have a new stand up and weather looks great, so hopefully I can come home with something in the back of the truck.
Ravin R10 man
Got a huge low moving thru. 45 mph winds and then some out of north, heavy rain changing to snow later, some places up to 8 inches of heavy wet stuff, power out in areas. No hunting today, hope to get out Sat, I've killed in a snow storm before. this video is only half what I saw when Fitz went down; http://www.kbjr6.com/story/36699030/highway-2-highway-13-closed-along-chequamegon-bayfront-in-ashland-county
The Bug House
Hello everyone ... Big weekend for us at The Bug House ranch! After what seems like an eternity we are finally moving into our new house. (It's actually gone fairly smoothly so far) Like I posted last week its a much bigger house, and after 10 years in a tiny place WE ARE READY! Haha. We're moving less than a mile down the road, so kids will be in same schools etc. Don't close until Mon morning, but I met with the seller last night and we're already starting to move our stuff, my weekend will be consumed by lifting heavy objects then putting them down. lol Early archery closes in a week here, I have only been out once since 2 weeks ago. Still very slow, however the landowner sent me a pic yesterday of 8 Does standing right in my lane not 20 yds from one of my stands. Typical. I almost certainly won't get back out until rifle opener mid Nov. I'm planning on setting a ground blind up near where I've found a scrape the past 2 years... Hope everyone has an awesome weekend! Ultradog
Going to work for a couple of hours tomorrow morning. Am skimming out the plaster walls in an old house. Repairing cracks and water damage. Have wiped about 15 gals of mud in there the last couple of days. A couple of hours tomorrow saves a whole day when it comes to finishing the job. Sunday Mike and I are going up to do some brushing around our stands. Clear shooting lanes, etc. And we take his leaf blower and clear the leaves off the paths so it's quiet going in. I made some chicken noodle casserole last night for dinner. Then froze a couple of plastic containers to bring along for the hunt. We leave a week from today. Snowing here this morning. Enough to cover windshields and slow traffic down
wtnhunt
Will hopefully get my first sits in a stand this weekend with my 11 year old daughter for the youth hunt. I cannot remember a year since we have lived on our property(over 20 years) where I never got a single sit in in the archery season, but this has been just that. Gonna be a good bit colder after this front moves through today. Hoping she can handle the cold, think the deer should move well. I know of 3 different bucks that had been around a couple weeks ago that I would like for her to see. Sucks not knowing what the deer are doing right now this year, hoping my past years experience and this years tc pics have my plan in order for weekend success. Will probably swap cards on a couple cams if I get to them easily Saturday morning on the way back.
Dawg
Daughters birthday party is Sunday so I'll be spending all day tomorrow getting the yard and house ready for the onslaught of kids coming. Youth Season is this weekend so Sunday morning the son and I are going to try to sneak in a early hunt. Have a group of hogs coming in that need a reduction in population. Hopefully they make an appearance while we are on the stand. After the birthday party we will have friends over for the Cowboys game. Strut10
Couple hours bowhunting this morning before the rain set in...................my first sit of the year. Errands, errands and more errands to be run keeping up with the ongoing home renovation . Off the next two weeks to hunt. Be putting in a couple 60-70 hr weeks in a tree unless a buck walks into one of my arrows sooner............

Saw 6 deer this morning, three different 1.5 year old bucks, then 6 deer this evening. Hoping we can get a good buck in front of her tomorrow.
