Ravin R10 man
Glad to hear some actually have decent bucks left to shoot; here however, it's the scene in Christmas Story where the Bumpase's dogs ate the Turkey, except here the wolves got the deer. You thought EHD was bad... Oh Ya, Happy Thanksgiving
wtnhunt
Everyone have a great Thanksgiving. Deer season here Tim, I will just say I was blessed last year to have tagged two nice deer on our small farm, perhaps used up my luck. lol. This year noone in our family has even taken a deer, Catrina has not even had one sit in a stand this year due to her work which with the kids has also made for limited time for me to be able to get out. Hoping someone here will get one down this week with Thanksgiving, but think our primary rut and best chances are over. Congratulations on your successful hunts Tim, you should post pics and stories here when you get time.
Rhino
Congratulations on your successful season Tim. As you know I killed one great, unique trophy buck. After that, I spent the rest of my time in MO cleaning up the mess from the barn burning down. Haven't been in a stand to hunt since I killed that buck on 11/9. The MS rut should start cranking up in about 10 days or so. I'll start going back at them again here in MS soon. BTW...got my insurance check for my burnt up Polaris Ranger and picked up the new Ranger Wednesday. It will be a while before we settle up with the insurance company for the barn & contents. fly
Nothing for the wall but plenty of venison this year with an early October 8-point with my X-bow, a Kentucky doe with my ML, another doe from IL in November with the shotgun, and a December IL deer with the ML. Gotta save wall space for a Manitoba Black bear this spring!
