MUDRUNNER
First Friday check-in of the new year. What's up for the weekend? Tonight we have a Christmas dinner for my wife's work. Don't really know too many people there, but free steak and cold beer sounds good to me. Other than that no real plans for the weekend. I'll probably go ahead and pack up my hunting gear for the year and do a few things around the house that I've been putting off. Softball starts back up for Emma next week, so will probably just enjoy one of our last restful weekends by doing a whole lot of nothing. The Bug House
Couple small indoor chores for Sat ... I REALLY need to scoop out the woodstove. Small bathroom repair and light fixture replacement and I'm calling it. lol Meeting a friend for a College hockey game on Sat evening, our mutual friend passed away very unexpectedly a few weeks ago. Those two were thick as thieves and my buddy is having a hard time, we'll grab diner and catch up a bit. 2 basketball games tonight, my oldest plays at 5 and my son tips off at 7. At least they play in the same building tonight! COME HELL OR HIGHWATER I AM ICE FISHING ON SUNDAY! LOL! I haven't been able to get out yet and it's really bugging me! I hear the bite has been slow in most places, and I probably won't feel like dragging the whole kit and caboodle with all this snow, I'll likely just bring a jig setup and try to find some Crappie. wtnhunt
Sunday closes out our regular deer season, so probably find a few sits in a stand somewhere with hopes of an unknown mature buck coming through. Last I checked temp is gonna be around 11 which will be too cold for Catrina in the morning, so I will probably go. Rain and warmer temps moving in Sunday too, so maybe some of this ice will start thawing out.
