Hawg Hunter
I posted a video before, here is another video of a nice buck responding to a grunt in the early rut. I know many are reserved about calling but I use bleat and grunt sequences heavily in the rut and called many deer in.
wtnhunt
Do quite a bit of blind calling here with the grunt call and have had some pretty good luck with it. Usually most effective late in the pre rut and into the rut. Deer here this past season seemed a good bit more vocal than I have noticed in years past, had a couple grunting that I never saw and then the 8 I killed grunted coming across out of my view. Does will come to a grunt call too, at the right time pulling in a doe with a grunt can pay off big.
Hawg Hunter
We had a lot of vocal bucks early in the rut, but then it really died off until the late second and even third rut cycle.
MUDRUNNER
Nice video. I would say a few bleats followed by some grunts has been my most successful calling technique over the years.
