Ultradog
Hello all. It' been a couple of months since I logged in here. Had to get a new phone so lost all my bookmarks and guess I just forgot about this place. We're still in the midst of a fairly hard winter on the tundra here. Not so much snow but it's been colder than average this year. But the days are already getting noticably longer and the sun is stronger too so the long haul is a lot of it behind us now. Still too early to start fixing tractors or putting the new shares on my plow that I bought but never too early to think about plowing, disking, picking rocks and what to plant for plots even those things are 3 months away yet. Not too early to think about hunting either. Anyway, I just thought I'd say hello. Keep warm and remember that the opener is only about 260 days from now. Oh, and there's venison in the freezer yet so all is good. Ciao Jerry

MUDRUNNER
It looks like winter is on the way out here. We had some more cold & a couple of inches of snow last week, but looking at the 10 day forecast highs will be in the 40's & 50's the entire time. We went from mild drought to flooding with all of the rain we have gotten in the last 3 days. It's nice to see the days getting longer but I'm ready to see some sunshine. wtnhunt
They say the groundhog saw his shadow, the only groundhog I have ever seen on our place did not live to see groundhog day so he did not see his shadow. lol. Looking like spring here, gonna have to mow my weeds and wild onions very soon. Been unseasonably warm too. Have buttercups blooming all over the place. Yeah, flooding going on here too, been a very very wet season so far.
Shaun_300
Nice to hear from you Jerry. Very warm here too this winter and not a lot of snow. The only snow on the ground now is the piles from cleaning the driveway out and a bit in shady areas, other than that there's none! Feel bad for all the people that dumped $15-20K on a new snowmobile plus all the other costs for trail passes, insurance and licencing etc to have them sit in the garage and collect dust lol. Right around 40 degrees here right now and it's supposed to be 52 tomorrow. Was just outside and fed the cattle in a T-shirt, can't say I've ever done that in February! Very odd for this time of year here. Still not over yet though, have seen snow as late as May here so we shouldn't put the snowblowers away yet lol. elkoholic
No Spring here yet. Check this out: http://www.kpax.com/story/37591384/snowfall-records-fall-in-northwest-montana It is supposed to snow all week. Hopefully will not get too much more. Only about two feet on the ground at my house but east of here it is really piling up.

stevebeilgard
I left Alaska in December for Yuma, Az. It's 76 today, last week, past month, and warming up next week. I'm guessing spring is here. I leave for home in April and it will get cold again.
