elkoholic
Just when I thought I wouldn't have to turkey hunt in the snow. Almost 2 feet of the white stuff and the temperature was sitting at a balmy 17 degrees at 7 this morning.
bowhtr1
Beautiful but I'm sure you are sick of it.
Adjam5
Sure is some heavy snow you got there. Not fun plowing or shoveling. Hope it is the last storm for you. Good luck chasing Toms. The snow is nice to look at, play in a little bit; but as it impedes your ability to do things and cause your heating bills to go up in smoke. The more I cannot wait to get to Texas and be done with the snow and 4 months of cold here in NYS. Come on Spring!
Shaun_300
Wow that's crazy! We're getting a winter storm tonight and tomorrow, my area is supposed to be just above freezing so a lot of it will be rain, but an hour to the northwest will be getting up to a foot of snow. Then another 4 inches forecasted for us here Friday. I'm looking forward to spring! Eventhough it wasn't much of a typical winter here in eastern Ontario, I still miss being out in the boat. wtnhunt
Pretty but yeah bet it has to get a little old. More right there than we got all season. At 78 and bad humid here right now, getting some strong gusts. Conditions feel pretty right for tornadic activity, weather folks only giving a moderate risk for severe weather though. wtnhunt
Supposed to plummet here tonight after these storms push through and the cold front moves in and brings a 40 degree swing in the temps.
fly
We got a couple inches of snow (near St Louis) on Sunday. Great April Fools joke mother Nature! Edited April 4, 2018 by fly
MUDRUNNER
That is beautiful. I'm a winter guy & love the snow, but when April gets here I'm ready for sunshine & warmer temps. I hear you Frank...these last two months around here have been crazy. Last year at this time we were consistently getting into the 70's, with a few 80 degree days thrown in. This year we are struggling most days to make the 50's and the rain & clouds just won't quit. It looks like another chance for snow showers for us Friday & Sunday. My daughter is supposed to have a softball tournament this weekend, but it's not looking good at this point.
Shaun_300
It was -6 with the windchill here this morning! 60mph winds last evening and overnight too.
MUDRUNNER
We got a little dusting of snow last night. Hopefully that's the end of that. It looks like normal spring temps will be moving in late this week...bring on the 60's!
wtnhunt
Had flurries for a good while Saturday morning here, but not enough to even get a dusting as nothing stuck. Hoping we are for the most part past the hard freezes here, ready for my pastures to come on, I am out of hay again and really don't want to have to find, buy, and haul more. I know a few people who said they had gardens in and tomatoes planted already, that was a few weeks back. Told them it was way too early back then, but whatever. Few more weeks and will start looking at getting some things planted here.
