a keeper?

With archery season starting next Saturday, pictures like this stir up the increasing adrenaline a little.  This camera is about 50 yards from my house and has produced very little in the way of buck activity this year, which is not normal.  I will not hunt anywhere near the house but just knowing they are around is kind of exciting.  Even though I will be mainly chasing elk during archery season a buck of this caliber just might change my mind.

Either of those would be potential targets here Dave.  The backyard here is pretty well all I hunt.  While much different than the Wyoming hunt I took my oldest daughter on in 2010, there are certainly different challenges.  Wish I had close access to thousands of acres of spot and stalk country.

Cool character with the kicker off the back of the right 2.  Really, I don't know that that buck is older than 3.5, I think the further buck in the first pic may be a nicer one.  Guess that would be one of those have to see first hand while on stand, and also would depend on what else I was seeing where I hunt.  I know we have had a 5.5+ year old buck around here that is not very pretty, but I would be happy to kill him myself or put one of my family members on him.
