MUDRUNNER Posted January 7, 2019 Report Share Posted January 7, 2019 Nothing new on my end. I've been out a few times with my cousin on a "brown it's down mission" to put some meat in his freezer. We actually both had shots and missed Saturday afternoon. I hit a thumb sized limb and the arrow landed about 6 feet in front of the deer lol. We just are not seeing the older bucks surviving the post rut. I believe the wolves get many of them after being run down from the rut. I shot two does right out of the gate in Sept., then messed up my best chance with a bow kill buck...and shot him the next weekend with rifle. also recovered a car kill and salvaged most of it.
