Gentlemen,

Unfortunately I am having to withdraw from this years contest.  I won't go into specifics but your thoughts and prayers are welcomed.

Hope you all understand and I wish you all the luck this season.

Hope all works out well for you Corey and will certainly pray for you and your family.  Don't worry about the contest.  Worst case scenario these guys might be stuck with me, but will look at adding rackblaster since he signed up.

Sat in the ground blind behind my house for a few hours yesterday afternoon. Saw 2 doe, not in recurve range. What a difference to not have the Matthews.

My future daughter in law shot a good sized doe here in town yesterday. between her and my son they have 3 deer in the freezer. Their goal is to fill every tag they have.

I must apologize team. Normally I would be out there with all the time I have on my hands. But with my knee problems climbing trees have been challenging, so I have not done it. Have only one set up ground blind and if the wind ain't right, you know.  But gun season opens Nov 17th and that will change the game for me in NY.

Then off to hunt my place and a few others in Texas from Dec 1 -11th for whitetail, hogs and exotics that walk on by.

Good luck to everyone and hunt safe.

Cool buck...Sure was a scrapper with that broken tine. Congrats.

Nothing to report for the NY so zone opener of gun. Snow dropped 14" off in Sullivan county befor eopening day and the woods were very silent for the next few days.

Getting great pics of a cool fisher and trapped a few coons. That is a skinned coon on stake to lure fisher. That is all I have to report.

I'm off to the Texas Hill country Saturday for 11 days. Hoping to get it done down there. Really hoping to shoot something on MY land!

OK Team...I had a heck of a 10 days in Texas. Two Bucks, a 7 and a 8pt.  Six wild hogs and one Axis buck. The turkey just did not cooperate. I have never in my life killed 9 hoofed critters in 9 days :). So which is best to post up for the team the bigger 7pt or the smaller 8pt? Someone let me know what is best.

Got home a little while ago and catching up on emails and bills. Man I hate this cold in NY. Yesterday I was sitting in shorts with no t shirt on out on the ranch in the Hill country.

Stepped off the plane earlier...WHAP! Freezing cold waiting for me. I am sure not going to miss NY's winters.

I will post a story of my trip tomorrow in the lounge.
