He/she has been in the back yard since it got light enough to see this morning and hasn't moved around much except for preening. I'm pretty sure snipe are not usually found in this part of the state, although all of Montana is listed as summer range and we are in the Pacific flyway as they migrate south from Alaska and northern Canada. Probably confused, seems a lot of species have been confused by the back and forth weather that cannot decide whether summer is going to end or not. Still have a few hummingbirds around that have not left yet. While hanging a stand this morning here, had a flock of geese fly over at tree top level.
