like the video, we had Doc Larson, (typing/ accouting), always fell asleep at his desk, some girls would openly flirt with him and get him so flustered.  The locker part, I recall a bucks gonads tied up on the coat hook by it's business end.  That girl sure let out a scream  that was deafening!  Then a jaw trap with teeth set at bottom of locker, kid always threw his books to the bottom...SNAP!! We even stuffed a classmate into a single stand up locker and locked him in....during study hall shortly after bell rang, there was a loud CRASH when the locker was rocking back and forth...and fell face down to the floor....

shop class we had to build a house to scale with miniature lumber, do you know, one house caught fire during class time, bad wiring??

and of course fire crackers in the trash can. Superintendant comes running over, who did that??, HE went that way!!, huh...Fire alarms somehow would go off, which we all would  exit the building...

Oh how times have changed.  In today's world most of the pranks and interactions between students and teacher-student interactions of my generation would result in someone spending time incarcerated.  Fifty years removed from high school and just 23 years post college (was a non-traditional student) I find that we are going in a direction spiraling downward (if that is even a direction).  Now, off to the principal's office?

some of the calls to Principals office I remember.....being questioned was a weekly trip to office... somehow the flag pole got  used tires stacked all the way to the top on Halloween night?.....State bound(Madison Wis.) Van with Girls Team aboard clonked out enroute, seems potatoes got into exaust pipe?. Guidance Counselors little car temp. parked in front of school entrance, somehow did a hard right slide and got wedged between school wall and brick corner wall of the covered entrance, only inches on both ends!??  One day high school principal pulls me out of class, "a car load of Ashland High school girls are out in the parking lot asking for you, and said they wont leave until you come out... Can you go out and tell them they cant stay on school grounds"? "YES SIR" I sure can!

went by the school today, couple other memories popped up.  There was an old VW bug sitting on private property at the top of a steep ravine, the kid we put into the locker got talked into getting into the VW and buckle up like your driving it....when he did we rushed it and pushed it down the ravine , the look on his face as he was going down backwards had us on the ground!  Ya, we had to pull it back up after owner figured out it was down there.

another time we had a square mile next to school we could run and "practice" for cross country and it had a steep hill we would sprint up for track etc.  well a creek runs thru under an old cement bridge, in the fall right about sept./Oct.  trout run up the creek to spawn. one day they were running heavy, so a couple kids hauled up these boulders up on top the bridge rail to drop on the trout....couple of us were under the bridge to throw the trout up on the bank to be picked up later etc.,  The Superintendant lived a few miles past the bridge and must have went home earlier in the day and happened to come around the corner just as a classmate rolled a rock off to whack a trout...all we heard was a fast approaching car come up slam on the brakes and ask what he thought he was doing??   He got a ride back to school, we stayed under the bridge until coast was clear.
