I sure have missed this forum.....I quit facebook over a year ago, as I was getting friend requests from families of my deceased I picked up for drug overdoses.    I have been a Deputy Coroner for over 3 1/2 years now in a really busy county in Illinois.  Heroin, Fentanyl and Homicide and Suicide has taken its toll weekly on me and my co workers.   I sure do miss this forum where I could check in and rib a few.  Hope you all are doing well, and wish all my forum members the best.   al

Hey, Al !!  Good to hear from ya !!  There's still a few of us left here. The cream of the crop...……...the best of the best...……...we're still here.   Lol !!!

I hear ya on the Facebook crap.  I don't know how ANYONE can stay on there.  I joined up for about a month just to keep track of a buddy of mine whose custom callmaking page was his Facebook page.  Started getting friend requests from people I knew.  Had no interest in interacting, but accepted the requests just to be nice.  Then I got my first friend request from someone I didn't know.  Never even heard the name.  Done.  I unsubscribed.

Keep stopping by.  There's still one or two you could rib a bit.

Hey, good to see you back!  As a recently retired pharmacist, I can understand the mental toll that dealing with overdose and suicide deaths conveys.  In your position it is undoubtedly magnified.  I'm sure that there are few people that could handle your vocation.  Thank you for what you do.

Facebook....I've never joined, although I have been pressured by family members to do so.  They say it is a way to keep in touch and share photos.  I'm sure if you keep it locked down, as my late wife had done, it may be a useful tool.  One of my nephews, an FBI agent, advised me to have a Facebook account to avoid someone opening one in my name in an identity theft attempt.  I assume, like any tool, if used correctly one can avoid the drama and the "tools" that cause it.

Good to see you check in Al.  Would be tough going in and dealing with what you have to do every day, guess it would numb you in a sense.

Yep, still some of us around.  Despite wife and oldest daughter trying to get me to open one, never had a facebook here either.  I do look occasionally at my wife's to see pictures.

Great to see you check back in here Al.  I'm not a Facebook person either.  I guess I'm still an old school type guy.  I'd rather talk to friends and family or email them when there's pictures to share.  I'm still retired...for the most part.  One thing new for me since you were last here is this.  A group of us bought Millennium about 4 years ago.  The company that makes treestands, etc.  Yep...I'm in the hunting industry.  Still keeping my John Doe hunter ID though.  That will be my last business venture since I'll be 65 in a little over 2 months.
