maddhunter
Re: hunter in need of help I found that all of the bow manufacturers are about the same price around here on thier top of the line bows except Bowtech. I made my choice on the best fit and availability(how far I have to drive to get it worked on).
magnatecsteve
Re: hunter in need of help I've shot Hoyt for several years now and have never been let down. Most of the models that I have bought are on the lower end of the pricelist. Right now I'm shooting a Magnatec. I paid around $350 for the bow. You can spend a whole lot more for the top models, but I try to keep my costs lower since I have many other expensive hobbies to support too!LOL Just ask my wife! Anyhoo, I'm not trying to brag or nuthin, but it's kinda fun when I go shoot 3-D against guys that have to buy the newest fastest bow made every season, spending lots of money, and I still out-shoot them. My bow works great, I'm FAMILIAR with it, and I believe it's more the shooter than the bow. Sure, I would like the nicer more expensive models, but will they make me shoot better?? Probably not. So, just go find one that fits you and feels good, all of the Hoyts are nice bows.
Hillbilly
Re: hunter in need of help [ QUOTE ] I prefer Hoyt but dont limit yourself you need to shoot them all and see what fits you best..... Good luck [/ QUOTE ] Listen to Vipertec. You need to go out and shoot as many bows as you can. You have plenty of time to shoot bows before bowseason comes back around. So shoot all you can. Shoot as much as you can. Don't get caught up in the game of advertising. I rather have a bow that fits my frame than a bow that is supposed to be so darn awesome.
