too_pointer
Here in Grayling, Mi. the rifle start at Nov. 15th, would find the buck pole here almost full, but this year had 3 deer at noon. I don't understand, it was cold, and we had snow cover. I here there was only 6 at closing time ??. too_
Ravin R10 man
It's a slow go in Northern Wis too, and top it off we hit the rut dead nuts!
wtnhunt
Don't feel too bad Mike. Things here have not been up to what we normally would expect either. Usually our muzzleloader season produces and while Catrina did kill the top buck on our property, we are just not seeing many deer and not seeing any good bucks at all. Good to see you check in though, hope things are improving for you.
Shaun_300
Things pretty well turned off around here at the start of rifle season too in eastern Ontario. Almost the same as last year. With this cold air and snow I figured it would get things moving, but it didn't happen.
RangerClay
It's been the strangest deer season that I can remember and I've seen 37 of them. The bucks are rutting but they are leaving little sign hardly any tree rubs or scraps. Usually they are everywhere. I've never seen anything like it. Rhino
Overall it's been slow here in MS too but bucks are making a lot of sign. My luck is still holding out though. 1st hunt I made for the MS gun season was only ~25 minutes long. This buck made it a short hunt. That was the only deer killed on our club last week through the Thanksgiving holidays. My next 3 hunts after that I didn't see any deer at all. Warmed up a lot the end of last week here though. im your huckleberry
Here too those big bucks aren't doing anything. Have seen 2 good ones this year, the last one a doe come out of the bushes with a big boy on her she went back in and there he went.
