MUDRUNNER
February is here! Everyday day gets us one day closer to spring lol. Not much planned for us tonight. Tomorrow have some things to do around the house. Were supposed to get a bit of a warm up, so may do some things outside if it's not too muddy. Tomorrow night we have a surprise 30th birthday party for one of my hunting buddies. Sunday Emma has a softball camp at Lindenwood College and high school ball practice after that. She got her drivers permit last night, so I'm sure we'll go for a drive at some point. I might watch some football at some point, but don't really care for either team in it. wtnhunt
Cooking a shoulder and a couple whole chickens on the smoker tomorrow. Guessing the girls will go to volunteer tomorrow at the riding academy, dunno though. Gonna warm up some tomorrow, so will likely get the girls to help me paint the parts to their bunny hutch so we can get it all put together. Depending on how early the girls are gonna take off, may get out early tomorrow morning to try and call for yotes. Will have to check traps at some point. Probably watch most of the game Sunday. Adjam5
I'll be dog sitting at my son Joes house this weekend while he and my future daughter in law go to the big outdoor show in Harrisburg ,PA. It takes two days to cover the whole show it is so big. Ruger is a fun dog, a handsome Charcoal lab. So it is not so much a chore. But he is just about a year old and is a rambunctious sword. Cannot keep him out of the water. I want Grandchildren! But the dog will have to do for now ?
hammerforged
Loading up the truck getting ready to make my annual trip to west Texas to try and reduce some of the Quail population. Looks like we will have to deal with some rain this year but temps should be in the mid 50s. Will be meeting with the landowner whose property I will be Axis hunting in April while I am out there. Hoping for a safe trip and successful and safe hunt.
Trevor
The cold deep freeze has finally broke here in southern Ontario so going to the gun club today to clear a few trap fields as our club is hosting this weeks winter inter league. Maybe shoot a couple practice rounds after the clean up. Sunday shoot in the league and then go to a friends house for the football game. Shaun_300
Didn't get up to too much this weekend. We got around 5 inches of snow on Sunday then freezing rain overnight into Monday morning. Came in a bit early yesterday to get the yard plowed out at work. First sweep with the blower on the tractor and the stupid chain broke. Had to run into the city to get a replacement and get it fixed up. Sure warmed up overnight. 43 degrees now, lots of flooding on the Ottawa streets. Then it's dropping to 5 degrees by tonight. Should make for one heck of a mess!! Rhino
Went to the camp Friday afternoon through Sunday morning. Checked trail cams for gobblers (nice results). Also loosened up all my stands and did some post season trimming.
