Enrique
Got a friend who wants to start hunting and asked me what was the most accurate out of the box rifle. He will shoot off the shelf ammo and didn't want to buy a 700 or Savage 10 and start replacing parts. Budget 1k or less. Thanks in advance! Most will have adjustable triggers. My 700 varmint stainless fluted .308 is probably my most accurate bolt gun in my hands. Those 2 you mentioned would be my personal top picks, but if your buddy has to have a different brand he may want to check out tikka or bergara. Most rifles are capable of being plenty accurate enough for hunting if the shooter takes the time to get comfortable with their gun and find what rounds the gun likes best. Shaun_300
I have a 700 CDL stainless fluted in 7mm-08 and it is also a tack driver. Super impressed with it. Almost want to put like a 6-18x scope on it and use it for a varmint rifle and get another BLR in the same caliber for deer hunting. That's another one that's dead accurate out the box. Had one chambered in .300 WSM, most of the time I had no problem touching 3 holes together at 100 yards. If I didn't it wasn't the guns fault lol. Ruger M77 is another one. My .25-06 was probably the most accurate rifle I've ever owned. I reloaded a ton of rounds for that gun. It could push 4000fps with a 75gr hp with incredible accuracy. I'd really like to get a Tikka T3x. That 6.5 Creedmoor has my attention, I'm having a hard time deciding between that and a 22-250.

elkoholic
Since the 700 and Savage are off the list, I would go with a Weatherby Vanguard Synthetic topped by a Leopold VX-Freedom 3-9x40 CDS scope. The caliper depending on the game to be hunted, but I would give the 6.5 Creedmoor a go, or .308 depending of ammo cost.
Strut10
From what I have seen, as of late, the Weatherby Vanguards are nearly impossible to beat……………………..for the money or at most ANY cost.
im your huckleberry
Thats for sure Strut10. Just purchase a 270 win Vanguard synthetic griptonite stock not done running the barrel in , but so far it looks good with 140's. Dialing it in this weekend, hopefully. Maybe try some American whitetail 130 gr Hornady spire points.
russelon
I tried the 308 Remington 5r 10th anniversary and it was pretty accurate
Takairtas
Yeah, remington is a nice one out of the box.
Takairtas
Yeah, Remington is a nice one out of the box. But have you seen a brand new AK-47? I never liked this rifle because of its reputation as a terrorist gun, but once, my brother gave me an AK-47 as a present on my birthday. When I first saw it, I immediately fell in love. I even made some modification to it, to improve it shooting characteristics. The best improvement, in my opinion, was buying the Holographic Weapon Sight. I found out about it on ballachy.com, and it considerably improved the range and versatility of my rifle.
