Ravin R10 man Posted April 17, 2019 Author Report Share Posted April 17, 2019 JUST A TWO YR. OLD, had a pop up blind in strut zone, waited 'em out. Heard a hot Gobble early after flydown, henned up my guess. They went off with hens. Figured I'd stay and just call blind every so often. Had a hen and my Pretty Boy on stakes, they were twisting and turning in the slight breeze. All of a sudden two Gobblers emerged out of the Balsams, and saw my dekes right off. HERE they came on the run! GAME on! No need to call, they were committed. They got up to Pretty Boy and the bigger one spurred my Boy, with the movement they both shock gobbled....they circled the wagons each getting in another punch or two, I'm now trying to set my sights on the Big Tom if he gets away from the other one long enough for a clear shot! Finnally he does and let a 3 1/2 inch 12 Ga. Remington nitro #5 with 1300 FPS eat. He rolled and that was it. His buddy came over and started to kick his butt, pecking at his head and carrying on...I got video of that and then started to pack my stuff up, he just continued to wail away at his dead pal....I threw my gun case out and that ended the one sided fight. off he ran.
