We'll it's finally Friday!

Onward & upward. I'll be putting my 2 week notice in at my job today. I've been here for 21 years, but it's time to move on to other things. Start a new job on June 3rd....more details to come on that, but I'm looking forward to it.

Emma has her last JV game of the season tonight. She'll most likely be playing with varsity tomorrow & next week for regional's. Tomorrow afternoon we're going to the in-laws to help pack & organize for their move, & get ready for a garage sale. I suppose Sunday we're going to my wife's brothers house for a bbq & the kids to swim. It looks like summer is creeping in on us. We had the furnace on until Monday, and kicked the AC on last night for the first time this spring.

It is going to be a cool, wet weekend here.  It went from mid 70s and sunshine over the past week to mid 40s and pouring rain.  If the rain lets up, I really need to mow the lawn again.  There's firewood to cut and split along with other outdoor chores.  With two weeks left in the spring bear season I'll be out in search of a nice color phase boar.  Actually saw a good one colorwise last weekend but he was on the small size.

I feel sorry for the various sporting events happening in the area this weekend.  With school sports winding down, there are tournaments of every kind, I hope all goes well.

Glad you made your decision on your job! I did the same thing on Monday. Move my toolbox out on Friday after work. I'll bring it home and clean and organize it and take it to the new place Saturday morning. Looking forward to the change, and finally working on the water! Thinking about getting a little Jetta TDI to buzz back and forth to work in. Will be driving about 80 miles per day. Would be a lot better on fuel than the Silverado!

We have a long weekend here in Canada this weekend. Got the lawn mowed today. Will try and finish Emma's new room tomorrow since it will be raining. Just have to paint the door and baseboards.

We were going to go over to a park in Quebec this morning that has a 9 mile road with tame wild animals that come up to the window of the vehicle and eat out of your hand. Never made though. Guess it can wait for another weekend.

Good luck with the new job Tim! I've been at SIUE for 20 years now so I now what you mean. My daughter's HS graduation party was yesterday and she'll be attending the University of Illinois this fall. By working at a state university for 7+ years my kids can get 1/2 off tuition so I'll likely be at SIUE for at least 4 more years and longer depending on where my son goes next year. Probably by that time I'll just stay there and retire (LOL). We've had the air on for a couple weeks now. Didn't get too many nights of just keeping the windows open this spring as It jumped from cold to hot in  about a week.
