I can't believe another week has rolled by already, but that's one week closer to hunting season.  Things to do in the coming week include doing a couple of days of fill-in work at the pharmacy and get another trail camera out.  With hot weather in the forecast any hiking will become an early morning affair and throw in some fishing in the afternoons.  It's also probably time to start checking some of the lower elevation huckleberry patches for this year's crop.

Enjoy the new truck and have a fun, relaxing and safe vacation!

It's been Very Hot and humid here. Body sapping, mind numbing, morale busting hot.

I have a lot of work that needs to get done - rear brakes on the Camry, get the siding on the garage, some cleaning up around the place. But to heck with that.

I also got all my parts this week - pistons, bearings, gaskets, etc to start assembling a tractor engine but don't feel like doing it now.

Instead, I went to the library and got a book about the WWII naval battles around Guadalcanal and the Solomon Islands and will hunker down in the air conditioning and read that.

Been a humid and hot week here too.. Got a good start on an Oak/ Aspen unit..got 1 ladder stand off it so far..prob go do my 300 hr. service on my machine early today. Eng. oil and fuel filters

My nephew wants us to be at the strong man comp. to see him compete in Ashland later p.m., then invited to a backyard party/cookout at an ex- Fed Foresters private timber sale we are doing for him,(between other jobs). Several major storms that produced tornados and Large hail, went past this week, missed us here to northern Mn. and south by Hayward Wis./Rice Lake Wis. area.

AC been on for two weeks now here.

Trying to stay cool this weekend. Supposed to be 110 degrees with the humidity this afternoon, we are already at 100. Was supposed to be putting a high performance camshaft in my truck today but it didn't show up yet from the US. Oh well, wouldn't have been very fun in this heat anyway lol. Supposed to be in the mid 70s this week so hopefully it will stick around for next weekend.

Just sticking in the house for today in the AC, watching The Open. The fair is on in town this weekend, going to take my daughter tomorrow. Supposed to be a little cooler thankfully!
