Don, many of those "OLD DOGS" are curled up in their "dogbed", and every so often get up, stretch, lift a leg, spin around a go back to SLEEP! Let alone "GET OFF THE PORCH"...?

Yep.

Get up...…….stretch...…...lift a leg...……….sip some cocoa...…..spin around...……...back to sleep.   Never leaving the  porch.

No worry.  Most never WERE cut out for the upgrade the OTPG offered.

Apparently them AND a whole lotta other folks...……………..

Can't believe where the RT Forums have gotten to.

Round em up Don.  Been tossing around the idea of adding one of these https://www.kakindustry.com/magnum/kak-300-wsm-complete-19-inch-barrel-magnum-upper.  Might be a fun otpg approved addition.

Too bad things have gone the way they have.  I checked in over at the tndeer forums a while back to see how things were going with the cwd testing, that place is still kicking much like this site was back in the day.  Kind of goes against the idea that facebook ruined this place.

Rocket fuel is best taken neat and doesn't play well with cocoa...…….. ala vinegar and oil

lol.  Rocket fuel would probably prematurely melt the marshmallows.  ?

Facebook nor any other social media ruined these forums.  I'm part of a Texas based hunting forum that has been running strong for a long time.  Some of the people who posted here regularly in years past stopped doing so because there were some that couldn't "agree to disagree" on subjects and move on always insisting that their opinion is correct and all others were wrong which lead to drama (which goes on over on the Texas based forums I'm on, guys there just flame each other until one gets sent to the cooler, they finally agree to disagree or the thread gets canned altogether), some grew tired of the (what seemed like) constant upgrades to the forums which played havoc on surfing through them and some simply stopped posting because of life.

Hmmm, reckon some of them otpg fellars picked up sipping cocoa with marshmallows, may be ashamed to come back around.

Still around...deer season is still open here.  For us retired old OTPG guys (like me) we're still spending some quality time in the woods.  Me with the 30-378 Wby mag when there's long shot opportunites.  Headed back to the woods with it tomorrow too! ?

You get a nice Ms buck Al?

Nice for what we had to hunt here this year William.  I killed a mature 8 point late Tuesday afternoon.  Decided to let that hunt end my MS season on a good note.  Packed up all my deer hunting gear and hauled it home from the camp yesterday.  Last day of the MS season is tomorrow.  Been a tough year this year...long story but mother nature sure dealt the deer herd a tough blow last year.

Thanks Don and William...the only time I take that rifle out is if there's a chance I'm offered a long shot.  I was hunting an L shaped plot.  According to my rangefinder it's ~345 yards to the N end and ~215 yards to the E end.  My 30-378 Wby rifle is sighted in to be ~1.5" low at 300...2" high at 100.  Just aim dead on, center lung out to 300 yards.  at 350 it's ~4.5" low.  The shot was to the E side just inside the 200 yard line.
