elkoholic
A time of year when the food is plentiful and the antlers are sprouting. This guy had some damage on the right side of his head judging from the bulge above his eye and the antler/pedicle placement. Elk like the taste of clover too.
Ravin R10 man
nice pics Dave..about what we got here too, minus the cow elk, you could substitute a bear every now and then tho
wtnhunt
That 8 could be a pretty decent buck, nice and matched anyway. Hoping to get a camera out here this weekend.
elkoholic
A few more from the cams on the property. I see the same deer all the time and it's interesting how some seem to avoid the cameras and yet I see them constantly from the house. The elk are another story as I seldom see them, but often hear them at night, as they are very vocal. If you look close you can see six calves. The calf in the middle must have been a late arrival, as it is not even half the size of the other calf. Giving the camera the eye.
wtnhunt
Looks like you have a nice herd of elk hanging around. Is this the buck eating your rose bush?
elkoholic
That's the culprit. I dug up a picture of him from last year and I doubt he grows the same size rack this year. Last year
