Chrud
I think I found my sight for this year. It's the Extreme Sniper Recon with 0.019" pin and in Hardwoods HD camo. I think a lens of your choice comes with it, but I wouldn't use it. Here is a picture of it. That sure would match a Switchback nicely. MCH
Re: 2005 Extreme Sniper Recon Nice.....Resembles a Copper John but with better pins.
tedicast
Re: 2005 Extreme Sniper Recon That is a great looking sight Chrud. I really like the Viper Pro Hunter line of sights, but the fact that the camo is X-tra Grey has stopped me from ordering it. I know its silly, but I want the camo to match my Outback. archerjg
Re: 2005 Extreme Sniper Recon Looks like the sight should be a good one. I hope that it serves you well. Archerjg
Chrud
Re: 2005 Extreme Sniper Recon That Recon matches the Outback, John, Hardwoods HD. Me and you would get along great, you like matching your camo too? Not sure if I'd go with Hardwoods HD or black though. The Mathews rest would look great in Hardwoods HD too, but it'll look pretty slick in black. We'll see, but that'll be my new sight. It is quite a bit like a CJ, except the sight window or housing is much smaller. I think only 2".
robk
Re: 2005 Extreme Sniper Recon not to be a bummer on this subject but you ought to check out the sidewinder radiant and see what you think the extreme are good sights but i think the cobras are a better set up for hunters and your right the camo on the scout would look great on a switchback rob k
mainebuck
Re: 2005 Extreme Sniper Recon I like the look of that Recon as well. Do you guys know if you can get a light for it, for hunting out of a ground blind?
mainebuck
Re: 2005 Extreme Sniper Recon aswered my own question. I see the purple haze and blue flame lights on their website. Many $110 for the sight, $20 for the light. how come good gear is never cheap? does anyone know an advantage of one color light vs. the other? Chrud
Re: 2005 Extreme Sniper Recon Mainebuck, Check out the Sniper XLT. It is almost identical to the Recon but about $40 cheaper. I don't really like the housing on the Cobra's. The orange ring around this one (and the CJ) is the ticket!
mainebuck
Re: 2005 Extreme Sniper Recon I'm like you and want one in Hardwoods HD as well so I don't think the Sniper is an option. I'll probably end up dropping the $$$, just have to talk myself into it. Is the ring on the Recon orange or red? hard to tell.
mainebuck
Re: 2005 Extreme Sniper Recon error on my part. I didn't realize the Sniper XLT came in Hardwoods patterns, but I now see it does. That's an option, but I need 4 pins so I'd have to add one.
Chrud
Re: 2005 Extreme Sniper Recon [ QUOTE ] Is the ring on the Recon orange or red? hard to tell. [/ QUOTE ] It's orangish-red. It's a little of both, makes centering it in a peep (if you use one) a breeze! Hey, I see they do offer the Sniper in Hardwoods HD now also. Cool!
