wtnhunt
Welcome to the forums. Used to be a few knight shooters on here. Not familiar with them myself. Would probably try triple 7 for powder. No idea what bullets that gun would run well but would not hurt to try some cheap sabots to start. Not sure if hornady has an offering in 54 cal on their ml xtp sabots but would be a good start of they do.
isidorebotcher
To be honest, I only know a couple of places in Michigan where lr shooting is allowed.

However, you can't go there with large-caliber rifles, but you have a standard 7.62 mm rifle allowed for hunting in these places. You only need to buy ammunition and a permit to hunt in certain places and you can safely go on a trip to hunt deer. I really hope that you will be able to sort out your rifle ammunition and it will work properly for you. It will also be interesting to listen to your story in the future about how you will go hunting there. If it works out, you'll even come back with a trophy. I wish you good luck!
