We both have all around kept 30-06's however don't have much else for gear. What gear do you prescribe to begin hunting deer? (We live in East TX btw). Get a decent sets of Binos,, maybe a bunch of shooting sticks, perhaps a spring up blind, in spite of the fact that you can constantly fabricate a brush blind. fly Posted May 16, 2022 Report Share Posted May 16, 2022 Find a place to hunt first. Then scout it out. Find deer trails and decide if their are trees that you can place a stand in.
