Strut10
Been fighting lower back issues since very early this year. I have no idea if I'll even be able to sit in a treestand. Beyond that....... I've gotten a grand total of 1 buck that is even remotely close to one I'd even consider shooting. The 2 bucks from last year that I am wanting to see.......... I've gotten no pics of either. I'm only HOPING that one or both still live. I didn't hear of either getting shot last year. But they could have been a couple miles away, too. And then there's the highway............. The split tine buck, although not really much to write home about, I know for a fact was 3.5 years last year. My guess on the bigger deer was 4.5 years, last year. Hoping one or both survived. Hoping I can even get into the woods to look for them. wtnhunt
Sorry to hear about the back problems Don, I can definitely relate. Hope you get some better bucks move in. Activity here was dead, but has gotten pretty hot the past few days. Bucks seem to be cruising here already.
Rhino
Hate to hear about your lower back issues. Mine are old age related and still manageable. Wish I had some good advice to ease the pain. I did wear a back brace one season when I had a muscular related back issue. I guess by now, you have a camera or two on scrapes in the area where you caught those bucks last year. If not consider that and if you do maybe add another camera. Scraping seemed to start early this year in Missouri. We started moving cams to them the end of the 3rd week of September. Since then, we've shifted a few around to different scrapes. I do still have 2 cams on entry/exit corners of standing corn fields...my other 6 are on scrapes. 5 of my buddy's 6 cams are on scrapes too. Hope both bucks show up soon...and a new big surprise buck or two.

Usually they are hitting them HARD here around the 20th - 25th of this month. But, as yet............. ZILCH.

We typically don't start seeing scrapes until the last few days of September in Missouri. This year they were a week or so earlier.
Strut10
It's REALLY strange. We've had mornings as cold as 24 degrees in the last week. Couple more in the upper 20's. You'd THINK that'd crank SOMETHING up, but.............
