[ QUOTE ]

I could be wrong, but i think MOA on a red-dot means how big the red dot is. The lower the MOA, the smaller the dot. Other than that, I don't really know much about 'em. I shot one on a pistol once and didn't like it, so you may wanna try one out somehow before you buy.

Re: MOA on scopes

moa stands for minute of angle 1moa= 1inch at 100 yards 2 at 200 and so on.that tells you your dot size.A higher moa is a bigger dot. pick the size you like the best. you dont want it too large because it will likley cover to much of your target ...turkey. but you dont want it too small because you wont be able to find it quickly in fast action.

Re: MOA on scopes

Slugger's got it.

1 MOA (minute of angle) covers approximately 1 inch at 100 yards. So if you've got a 5 MOA red-dot sight, the dot will cover about 5" at 100 yards or 2 1/2" at 50 yards or 1 1/4" at 25 yards............which is just about right if you're looking to use it on a turkey's head. wink.gif
