Hi guys!!!

Been a while since I was last here. Had no luck in Wyoming thi year. The big ones out smarted us. Only smalller non-shooters came by. Muzzleloader season started yesterday here in Iowa. I have not shot anything but does the last 5 years with the muzzleloader. (no oppoptunities at any wallhangers). Well, this morning it was 30 degrees and calm (i love this mornings). This buck comes into view at about 100 yards, walking between a cornfield and a bean field. He looks like a typical main frame 8 and I decide he is not a shooter. He then works a scrape at 30 yards and I look him over a little better, still no shooter. He then procedes to walk to me and stop at 15 yards. I then catch sight of some "extra points" and an "ATYPICAL" point coming off of his right beam. After a few moments I decide he has nice character and is a shooter. My Knight muzzleloader drops him right in his tracks. Ends up he has 16 inch spread, 11 points, his atypical point is 7 1/4 inches long and comes straight out and he "rough" scores 133. He had a real nice body and I had deer for dinner today (yum, yum!!!). I will hunt that tree later this month with the bow and I can only hope that the real big one that they have been seeing in that area comes by.
