JimT
Either would work fine for you. If you want to shoot on the cheap, maybe you should reload?

AJ
Re: here\'s the deal... The rifles are either one, both are good. Its basically the same gun with different stocks. Another option is the Remington 700P. The benefit of that gun is the faster twist which allows you to shoot heavier bullets as well as the lighter bullets. The Savage 12BVSS-S Single shot – with AccuTrigger™ is a sweet gun! It also has the faster twist.

Shaun_300
Re: here\'s the deal... either of these models are great guns, both would be good choices. i'd take the VLS myself.
Norm Sauceman
Re: here\'s the deal... Go to Gunbroker.com and look at the HOWA 1500 Varminter with the thumbhole stock. They have the "Pepper" stocks HERE and the Nutmeg (MY FAVORITE) although Gunbroker did not have them when I looked. But I found one HERE so you could see what they looked like. I think they are just SWEET guns. I don;t know how they perform, but if you could get that stock and put it on any gun, it would make it look great...LOL
