Guest J_Owens_66
I have a Mossberg 835 w/ the factory choke and i want to improve my pattern. Are all the tubes for this gun .695 id? If they are all that diameter the how would one shoot better than the other? My gun has the factory tube which is .695 ID, would a Undertaker with the same inside diameter do better? Its still the same ID. They have one at Wally-World for my gun and was wondering if i should get it to inprove my patter, it is going for 15 bucks and im looking for a quick fix since turkey season for me is this weekend. Thanks
Guest kracey
Re: Choke Tubes You could purchase a different choke tube that had a tighter constriction. Or try a different load. If your not getting a good pattern with #4's go to #5's and same thing with #5's to #6's. Friend of mine has an 835 with the factory choke tube in it and he gets great results from 3 1/2 inch Winchester HV #4 or atleast that is what he has told me. Guest ronin
Re: Choke Tubes I beat the heck out of my factory Mossberg choke with Hevyshot. The tube was great while it lasted. I just bought a Truglo and it seems to work great, too, but handles this new denser shot better. I don't know what makes one tube better than another but I did find out that you need to uses stronger steel tubes for Hevyshot.
