VTbowman
I was pooking around at wallyworld today during lunch and saw this set for like $11. One was red tagged to $5! It was totally unopened and I could not see anything wrong with it so I asked why. The guy had no clue. So I said I would buy it but if the CD did not work I was taking it back, well 1 manager later they agreed. LOL The CD works well as far as I listened to it. I was wondering how well the calls were. The Cuttin' Hen. The Cuttin Hook. The Double Trouble. (I think its called-double something. LOL) Any input would be appreciated...
Hillbilly
Re: Primos 3 diaphram calls and CD set? I use Both the cuttin' Hen and the double trouble. I have not gottena turkey yet, but I have called them in for a couple friends with the two mouth calls. I also like the piggybacks too. All Primos Mouth Calls are worth the money. I have also seen the CD too in orhter sporting goods stores! Good Luck. I
Guest kracey
Re: Primos 3 diaphram calls and CD set? I have that exact same set up. The Yellow one and the Piggy Back one are descent. The other one I did not really like. The cd is nice just something to listen to in the car and practice while your driving. My favorite calls are the primos Diamond Yelper (brown) and the Diamond Cutter (black). But all of the Primos calls are good. I just say practice. I can make great calls with some of them and others, it seems like I struggle with them.
VTbowman
Re: Primos 3 diaphram calls and CD set? Ok so I spent 2 hours drive time so far and got the Cuttin' Hook working real good for me, its the olive colored one. Oh and I made a mistake earlier, its not the Double Trouble that comes with the set. Its called the Deadly Double, and its black. That one sounds super raspy for me and I can only get a semi-ok kackle and real good yelp out of it, but thats it. I do not think it fits my mouth exactly right. The Cuttin' Hook is the one I can sing sweet turkey songs with. LOL It fits right thats why... The yellow one, the Cittin Hen is to small for me and I have trouble getting good sound off it. Sometime but not like the other 2.
VtBowhunter
Re: Primos 3 diaphram calls and CD set? Shawn, if the calls feel a little too big for your mouth (hard to imagine, LMAO) try trimming them dowm a little at a time until they feel right. VTbowman
Re: Primos 3 diaphram calls and CD set? Well I tried to trim the black one down and I was not able to get it trimmed enough to fit the frame between my teeth like it should. I still get good sound with it but its not as comfortable as the olive colored one.
