NY911Bowhunter
Re: bow suggestions Start big - get a Mathews or a Hoyt or a Bowtech! nah....just get a sturdy bow that fits you well, and good luck!
Sam16
Re: bow suggestions If your looking at PSE's, try the venom. I went to an archery shop and shot like 10 different bows. I shot all the PSE's and all the AR's. After an hour or so i chose the PSE venom, it costed me $599 so it's not cheap, but it's a good bow. Shoots real smooth. Give it a look at least. Chrud
Re: bow suggestions Go to a proshop and let them help you out. But, I'd suggest the Hoyt XTEC.

Chrud
Re: bow suggestions Well, if you don't have a lot to spend, then I'd suggest something like the Hoyt UltraMag. It is made with a different material so it is a lot lower in price, but from what I hear, it shoots great. Also, maybe check out some of the Reflex bows, which are owned by Hoyt. They are basically a re-vamped version of older Hoyt bows. I like carbon arrows myself. They are a lot more durable than aluminum, because they can't bend. I love Muzzy broadheads. The trocor tip is certainly bad to the bone. And, get a release. It does two things. It makes you draw with your forearm, which allows you to draw higher weights. Plus, it gives you the same release everytime. With fingers, you could roll your fingers off the string different every time.

wheelin99xj
Re: bow suggestions I just bought the PSE Triton I really like it, it is smooth and short Axle to Axle, which is a personal preferance. I paid $350 for it which I felt like this was the best bang for the buck. I agree with the others the best is just to shoot some different bows at a pro shop were someone will spend some time with you and get what fits you best. Good luck
