Re: optics

I really like Nikon optics. I have a Nikon ProStaff 3-9X40 on my .22 Mag and it is an awesome scope. It's about $150. Double that ($300) and you can get a Nikon Monarch.

In my opinion, because of personal experience, optics are one thing you CAN'T go cheap on. I've already busted one scope on my .30-06 which was a cheap Simmons. I've had two pairs of 10X42 Simmons and Tasco binoculars go junk on my, because they were cheap. Get good, quality optics and you'll be happy in the long run, with optics that hold up well.

Re: optics

i have a nikon buckmaster 3x9x40 which has 88%light transmission and i have also been looking at the bushnell brand as well since i have been using their yardage pro 500 for about 5 years and never had a problem with it. i am also looking for a new or newer scope for my blackpowder after this season. the one i have now is just not clear enough for me
