sureshot
don't laugh like my fur buyer and alot do but I use a utility knife, the type you break off the tipeach time, each coyote will use one tip, I have gotten so good that I never cut the hide and the super sharp knife is great around the head and stuff, I also have a old timer skinner I use when preparing the hide, the curved head is great for not nicking the hide and stays sharp great, the reason I do not like knife is thatlots of days I am skinning 4-5 coyotes and just takes to much time sharpening and a sharp knife is most important thing in skinning! Modillo
Re: Best Skinning Knifes trust me use what ever you want. i have a buck, an offbrand knife, i use my pockett knife, my fillet knifes, i use a number of different knifes. i like to use my own hunting knife alot. when your skinning allways have a stone or two for a quick resharpening. because no matter what knife and brand you use the tallow will fill the poors of the knife. i would say the buck is the best out there because they hold an edge like you would not beleave.that is why the buck knives are so popular.make sure what ever knife you choose , that the tip has a good curve to it. when sharpening your knife focuse on the tip the closer you get to the hiltthe edge will sharpen on its own. Reloader
Re: Best Skinning Knifes Gotta vote Buck knives here. They have a bunch of knives suited for skinning..."Skinner" "Vanguard" etc and they hold their edge the best I've ever used.
