Chrud
Re: Whisker Biscut I tried one. With it I experienced a noisy draw, noisy shot and wrinkled vanes. I don't recommend the WB to anyone. The WB's biggest catch is that it holds you arrow all the time. That sure is great for stalking. But, a quick tip, remove your index finger from your grip and place in on top of the arrow and you accomplish the same thing with any rest. Now, you can shoot a fall-away and experience a quiet shot, release and unbelieveable arrow flight. Good luck!
longislandhunter
Re: Whisker Biscut I don't have one on my bow but I have several friends who use them and they've given the biscuit nothing but praise when we discuss bowhunting. I am thinking of picking one up myself before this coming season and giving it a try.
kooter
Re: Whisker Biscut i use to have one on my old bow and never had any big problems with it. It does mess up the vanes a little, but accuracy was never an issue with it. plus you don't have to worry about the arrow falling off when the time comes

Guest bowhunter56
Re: Whisker Biscut I know several guys that have them, yes they hold the arrow, but those fellows that use them are now buying fletching tools and or replacement biscuits. We all did well before they came on the market, i never heard any stories of missing deer because of the arrow falling off the rest. Just my opinion. MUDRUNNER
Re: Whisker Biscut I use one and think it is great. No accuracy problems at all.I use to use my finger to hold the arrow on,but if your still hunting through cover your finger will get a little sore after 3 or 4 hours. My old biscuit would wrinkle my fletchings, but nothing a hair dryer can't straighten out.My new one has softer bristles and i haven't seen any wear so far. AaronS
Re: Whisker Biscut [ QUOTE ] I heard that the whisker biscut screws up your sights. it doesnt screw the sight up. it basically knocks the arrow off line when its going through it. That is what ive heard can you let me know if you have heard anything else? [/ QUOTE ] It sounds like these individuals didn't have everything lined up and tuned right. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Whisker Biscut I use the Whisper Disk by Golden Key Futura and so far I have been impressed with it. Its the closest thing I have seen to the Whisker Biscuit as a competitive product with the same goal, keep the arrow from falling off the rest. As you can see they have cut outs for the vanes where as the bisquit has bristles that the vanes must come in contact with.
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Whisker Biscut They average around $30.00 to $32.00 (Cabela's & Bass Pro) but I found it at Gander Mountain marked down to $14.97. They original price was $29.99 They come in carbon and aluminum sizes and the replacement element is around $6.00. Go to Golden Key Futura's web site to find out more and check out their forums section as there is a thread on this rest and others opinions of it. Good luck on whatever rest you choose. Guest kracey
Re: Whisker Biscut The wiskey Biscut is a great rest. I wouldnt get anything else. I had a problem with my arrow falling off to the side on my old rest, the wisker buscut fixed that problem easily. I would recommend this to anyone. Sure the fletching might get bent and not look a pretty arrow just out of the box, but I never had it interfer with my grouping. It does not make any more noise than the other. Don't let people on here influence your decisions, all anyone on here wants to do is talk about what they shoot only. Ask a shop owner to help you out, thats your best source. It made noise on the draw and it messes your arrows up. Fellows in here will tell you to just put some glue on the edge of your fletchings...yeah whatever. If you shoot alot, your fletchings are going to get messed up and wrinkle and everything else. JMO, I had one (actually 2) and am answering your question. [/ QUOTE ] Isin't that what your doing Anyway, like he said, the best thing to do is find a dealer that will let you try some different rests including the WB. Some dealers don't but your good dealers will have extra of everything laying around and would be glad to let you try. If you try different rests the same day, give yourself a lot of time. Bow Hunter Derek
Re: Whisker Biscut This is brand bashing at it's finest! Just kidding. I've been shooting a W.B. for almost 4 years now on my hunting bow. In my opinion it is the absolute best hunting rest made ... FOR ME. You have to decide for yourself it is for you or not. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you are going to shoot a W.B. do yourself a favor and shoot feathers, not vanes. Feathers hold up much better than vanes. They may not look it, but they do. Generally, the more the edges of the feathers frey, they better the arrow flys. It is simple physics at work. Vanes shoot well too, but they will wrinkle and then tear. It is a simple fact to shooting this kind of rest. As for noise during the draw, it is no louder than an arrow drawing back across the pads on a TM rest, or on the moleskin that lines my Q.A.D. rest on my target bow. As for wearing out the biscuit, if you keep your bow tuned, it will last a long time. I'm on my second biscuit in 4 years is all. As for tilting your bow, my bow lays on my lap a lot, so the WB is great for that. Also, I hunt out of a blind a lot and the bow is always laying at some werd angle in the blind. Pick a rest that suits you!

I bet you looked for me too, didnt you I know you did It happens everytime this is brought up. Seriously though, try different rests and use the one you like. I know alot of people who use the WB and love it. It is in fact perfect for hunting, thats why I liked it. I hate having to hold on to my arrow while trekking throught the woods and the WB eliminated that. It's just not for me anymore and for all that I do. buckee
Re: Whisker Biscut Don't listen to TSBH...He's just a grouch ...LOL I never noticed any noise when drawing my bow, coming from the biscuit....but then..I'm half deaf ...LOL Seriously though, the deer I've been shooting at 10 to 15 yrds, for the past 3 years must also be deaf. With my old standard rest, I had noise, especially with aluminums....never noticed anything with the whisker Biscuit. When the original Whisker Biscuit came out, they suggested that you trim the back of the biscuit, which I did as soon as I got mine. It's supposed to cut down on fletching wear and loss of speed (which is minimal anyway). Putting a dab of glue in front of each fletching is something I have always done, even before the biscuit. I'm still shooting the original biscuit, until it wears out The new biscuit is improved with softer bristles, to make it better that the original, which is great. JimT
Re: Whisker Biscut These arrows have probably been shot 30-40 times each. Look at all that vane damage. Horrible. I know vane damage was common with the original biscuit, bt seems to be a thing of the past with the new ones. At least mine anyways.... I have shot through it atleast 500 times. I've missed a few deer when I drew my bow(while shaking like a leaf) and my arrow came off my rest because I forgot to lift my finger to insure the arrow would stay there. I will never have that happen again. JMO
