DSGB
Here's a picture a guy from Georgia posted on another board. He was scouting for turkeys and ran across this copperhead. I wonder if anyone has ever tried to create a camoflauge pattern based on this. (No offense Realtree Inc., yours is still the best in production )
AaronS
Re: Some good camouflage As a matter of fact there is, it's called Snake Skin Illusions. I won't post a link as they would be a competitor to Realtree. That snake does blend in awfully well.

Gator
Re: Some good camouflage Now why in the world would you put a pic of a copperhead on here and not put a disclaimer at the beginning????? Do you realize just how bad you have scared me? yes, copperheads blend in with leaves quite well, but when frightened, they give off the awfullest odor also. [/ QUOTE ] Yep, they blend in very well, and often will even get under leaves making it impossible to see them. They will however sometimes shake their tale as a rattlesnake does when they are approached which if they are in dry leaves will make a kind of a rattling sound. That odor is also emitted when they get run over and squished or flattened with a shovel too.
mitrrophybowhunter
Re: Some good camouflage I am glad I live in Michigan. They only thing we have to worry about are those tiny little missasauga rattlers. They only get about 3 feet long.
Orion_70
Re: Some good camouflage I hate those things.. Mach1
Re: Some good camouflage I about stepped on a timber rattler while in the Ozarks just outside of St. Louis on a school research trip this past fall. I almost had to change my pants after that encounter.
Shaun_300
Re: Some good camouflage Thank God i live in Canada! none of the threatning, poisonous snakes up here! that copperhead sure blends in well with the ground, sure would make some nice camo... or boots at that! the only copperheads we have up here are BBs and Pellets
