tedicast
Re: peep sights In my opinion, the peep is your best anchor point. when you draw, your eye automatically lines up with it. I think, for me at least, the peep is the key to being considtent.
MadHuntinPastor
Re: peep sights I use and automatic peep. ? don't know if that is what it is called but it lines up perfect everytime.

longislandhunter
Re: peep sights I use a peep and from the first moment I had one installed on my bow my consistency and accuracy increased greatly. I'd never shoot without one again.
tedicast
Re: peep sights [ QUOTE ] Everytime i look through one, i just can't seem to pick my target out as well. I may have to try one once i get a new bow, but for now ill still have my kisser on the string. pat [/ QUOTE ] Is your peep atthe right height for you? When you draw your bow, does the peep rotate to the same position every time? Is it straight at full draw? These are all things that could make it hard to see thru your peep. I am using a Shurz 2x2 peep....by far the nicest peep i have used, it has a pretty large apperature, not sure the exact size.

too_pointer
Re: peep sights A peep sight made me more consistent right away. I did drill the hole larger though. I found it hard to see through when the sun went down. There are so many out there now, you can find a good one you like. too_pointer
Tony
Re: peep sights there are some that dont use a peep.. but its like not having a rear sight on a gun... a peep sight is a must for accuracy... if you cant see through one then its either to small or not lined up right or not the right height... i have no problems seeing through mine for hunting or Competition.. for hunting i use a hunter peep in 1/8 inch for my hunting bow and a 3/32 super peep for competition... tedicast
Re: peep sights [ QUOTE ] Not seeing when it gets dim is exactly what i worry about. [/ QUOTE ] In my experience, when it is too dim to see through my peep, it is after legal shooting time amy way, so its kind of a mute point in my opinion. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: peep sights I use a peep and love it. To be able to consistently anchor back each time and pin point your sights at the same point each time is crucial. I go with a peep with the largest hole available so if time is critical I don't have to waste too much time trying to find the hole. Peeps vary in size, I suggest trying the bigger hole versions. Guest kracey
Re: peep sights Yep, I shoot with a peep. Probably take me a long time to get used to not using one. Its just easier to consitantely nock at the same point with one.

mo_hunter
Re: peep sights [ QUOTE ] I use a no-peep and will never use a peep sight again. They are awful in low light conditions. The no peep glows all the way until it's too dark to shoot. Easy to set up as well. [/ QUOTE ] I agree, I love my no peep
RatherBowHunt
Re: peep sights i shot without a peep for 3 out of the 4 years ive been hunting and since this year switching to a peep i can touch every arrow at 20 yards consistantly i will agree with having a peep and ill never go back!!!!!!!
