LifeNRA
Which is your favorite broadhead for whitetail deer? Also you turkey hunters, which is your favorite broadhead for turkey?
Chrud
Re: Broadheads??? In my opinion, nothing beats a Muzzy for whitetails. Cut-on-contact broadheads, like the G5 Montec, have become very popular. But, I'll take the bone crushing power of the trocor tip on the Muzzy anyday. Not sure about turkeys though. I've heard that if you use a fixed-blade broadhead, you should try to slow it down, but I don't know how true that is. If they were in a decent distance, I would MAYBE try to shoot them in the head, just beacuse I know I could do it.

carbonhunter
Re: Broadheads??? Muzzy 100 grains three blades Have two deer in the freezer that wont argue about there stopping power, both shots where pass threws one went through both shoulder blades, both arrows where 6-10 inches in the ground on the other side of the deer. I put an anchor shot on a buddies deer earlier this year that went through both shoulder blades and pinned her legs together. After seeing that he went straight to the pro shop and trated in his mech. on a pack of muzzies. I mean come on what other broad head is BAD TO THE BONE

Gus
Re: Broadheads??? Muzzy 4 bladed 100 grain is my choice. I have killed one buck so far this year, both the entry and exit holes were great. If a turkey walks by I plan on using a Muzzy on him also
Guest MissouriHunter
Re: Broadheads??? I shoot the NAP thunderheads 100 grain and they work great for me. PAbowhunter4life
Re: Broadheads??? I am shooting Rocket Ultimate Steel 100's. They fly just as good as my mechanical Steelheads did and they provide me the reliability of a fixed blade broadhead that has them scary sharp bacon skinner blades. They hold claim to the new Brown Bear world record, so I guess they're o.k lol ................. As for turkey, I use a Rocket Hammerhead 100 grain. 3 blades and a 2" cutting diameter. Gives u a lot of added cutting diameter to hit that baseball sized boiler room of an old tom. That's my 2 cents

wheelin99xj
Re: Broadheads??? This year I tried the new Crimson broadhead. I just shot a doe two days ago and left a great bloodtrail and blew a huge hole in her. The blades with the spin tite design fly great shot her at 33 yds with the broadheads right out of box and flew like field pts
