Mossberg Stock Choke-vs- Undertaker

I know this has been discussed before but I couldn't find any post by searching.

I have a friend that is going to get a turkey choke for his Mossberg 500.

Is the Undertaker choke better than the Mossberg turkey choke?

We patterned some loads through his Mod. choke and I was very impressed!! When he gets a turkey choke, his gun might pattern better than my 870. blush.gif Deffinately would kill a bird out to 30 yards.

Any input is welcome. smile.gif

I killed a bird last year at 55 yards with the stock choke. I dont have an undertaker but I just bought a tight wad chock by primos, cant wait to see what it does.

Re: Mossberg Stock Choke-vs- Undertaker

Best thing to do is try different chokes and pick which one does the best. So far I tried three different chokes from my 835. The original turkey choke(Mossberg extra full), Jellhead(Primos), Comp-N-Choke XXX Full choke. Each gun is different, so that means you would know what it is capable of doing without testing! Good luck!

You should have bought a lottery ticket that day! smirk.gif

I've said it before...just about any aftermarket extended turkey tube will perform better than factory. This isn't written in stone, all guns are different...but I'd bet the percentages are very low. wink.gif

Re: Mossberg Stock Choke-vs- Undertaker

I know I will need to try different loads and choke combos to find the best one. wink.gif

I just would like to know if anyone likes one or the other of these two chokes better.

They are the only choices we have available in his price range.

Thanks anyway LifeNRA!!!!! smile.gif
