VtBowhunter
Re: When you are shooting 3-D or Indoor.... Feathers.....they'll lighter and faster and much more forgiving, which I need for shooting the Extreme Class.
MCH
Re: When you are shooting 3-D or Indoor.... Duravanes, here. Mainly because the nearest archery shop does not carry feathers. He just runs the shop out of a small room in his garage as a side business. In order to get feathers, I'd have to drive 45 minutes to Arkansas. Once I get my own jig, I will more than likely switch to feathers. Mainly because I like their durability during practice.

huntinsonovagun
Re: When you are shooting 3-D or Indoor.... For indoor, 5" feathers. More forgiving with those telephone pole. 3D/ hunting.....Vanes all the way. Waterproof, less wind resistence, CHEAP. WHY shoot feathers? Tony
Re: When you are shooting 3-D or Indoor.... Actually i dont prefer either.. its just what looks best on my indoor arrows. . for indoor i shot 5 inch gateway treebark red feathers.. the reason because they match my bows color ! for 3d or Hunting and field archery i prefer vanes...hunting arrows will have 3.5 inch or 4 inch.. and the others will have anything from 1.5 to 4 inch fletch vanes...just depends on what will fly best... lil hunter
Re: When you are shooting 3-D or Indoor.... for those of you shooting feathers, how well do they hold up in the rain? I have been considering gettin some, but they don't seem like they'd be very waterproof.
