RDNKHNTR77
I was just wonderin how many of u use gobbler locator calls to get turkeys to shock gobble. I have one from Penns Woods and it has worked pretty well when they wont respond to my hen calls. Has ne one had much success with these calls? maddhunter
Re: Gobbler locator calls Never used one before but have one this year to try. I think it's more of a answer to the gobble than a shock gobble. The bird may start coming to you after the initial call, don't know though may stay right where he is and allow you get closer. JMO I think I may try it for sure when they start going silent on me.
Hillbilly
Re: Gobbler locator calls I like the Primos Power Crow, this call is very loud and can be heard from many yards away. I have reached gobblers out in 500 yards with this call. I also use my mouth for a Owl Call and Yote.

buckbuster11
Re: Gobbler locator calls I use the crow call if I am trying to close the distance on a bird and I need him to gobble again so I can judge how far he is. Other then that I dont use locators that much.

hunter336
Re: Gobbler locator calls I use a Lohman crow call mainly, but I have a Lynch Owl Hooter that I carry. This year I picked up the Primos Gobbler Shaker. I'll give it a try when things are going slow.
Strut10
Re: Gobbler locator calls If I carry anything for a locator, it is a crow call. But I can count on one hand (with fingers left over) how many times I've used it in the last 5 years. I use turkey sounds if I wanna get one to go. maddhunter
Re: Gobbler locator calls RDNKHNTR77, You are talking about using a GOBBLE CALL to get them to gobble correct. If not then I would reply: I use a crow and owl hoot in the morning to mid-morning to get them to gobble.
