Guest Bonemass
Re: hog huntin Depends on the type of hunt you want to do. But i think most states offer some type of hog hunts. I didn't find it boreing in the least.Matter of fact it was down right thrilling.
MadHuntinPastor
Re: hog huntin Seems pretty exciting from the ground. Much more aggressive than deer. I would love to go sometime. We just don't have em up here unless you want to pay and hunt a preserve. I guess I'll have to settle on turkey, deer and black bear. Bow Hunter Derek
Re: hog huntin [ QUOTE ] I hate hog huntin. I never been but it seems boring. [/ QUOTE ] I'm not sure how it could be boring. I guess everyone has their own idea of fun. Stalking up on a group of hogs with a bow, only to have them stare you down ready to rip you apart at 10 yards, is far from boring in my book. I've hog hunted on two occasions with a bow. Once last year at a preserve, all spot and stalk. And just a couple weeks ago in south Texas on a week long hog and javelina hunt, free ranging spot and stalk. I guess it would be pretty easy with a rifle, but I'm telling you, there is nothing boring about bow hunting hogs. Just bring a change of underwear if you do it! As for where to go, there are pleanty of preserve type hunts all over. If you want free ranging hogs, your best bet is to head to the deep south, the Gulf states.
