craig mack
I would like to tell all the guy's from Michigan that if you need to go to a pro shop I highly suggest you go to MJC Archery in Macomb County. The owner is a Mathews Pro and he is very helpful. I went there today and the owner Jim Morrow helped me tune my bow to shoot fixed blade broadheads. He helped me for two 1/2 hours. He cut different arrows for me to try and let me try different weight broadheads till we got the right combination. I have been trying to get my bow to shoot fixed blade broadheads for 4 years and I couldnt find anyone that would take the time to help me like Jim did. I wish I would have bought my bow from MJC because the shop I bought mine from wasnt that helpfull or knowledgable. My next one will be bought from MJC Archery. mitrrophybowhunter
Re: Michigan Bowhunters Thanks for the tip Craig. I have a good one here in Oakland County, K&D Outdoors. Great guys to work with!
Nick
Re: Michigan Bowhunters Wow.....Too bad I didnt live closer to Macomb county. The store that I bought my bow from cant set up a bow worth a dang. Then the only other place that I trust to set my bow up, the guys that work there are jerks. They dont like to work on your bow unless you bought it from them. Then they criticize your equipment if its not exactly what they use. So im starting to learn how to set up my own bow. too_pointer
Re: Michigan Bowhunters That is great. I'm sure he will get your return bussiness because of the extra time he spent with you. I find that most shops usually have only 1-2 people who are qualified to really help out with tuning, and they are tied up with customers and don't have the time to do a good job. In Gaylord and Clare there is Jay's Sporting Goods, and I have had great luck with their people willing to spend the time to help and make it right too_pointer
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Michigan Bowhunters I don't live near Macomb County but sounds like you found a winner. We have Bay Archery and Jay's in my area that can provide the winning set-up. Glad to see all the Michigan bowhunters on this site.
